A to Z Reflection

A-to-Z Reflection [2016]

Today’s challenge in our Inspired Blogging Challenge for May is to repurpose some content. What better way to repurpose content than to reflect on the delightful challenge of A to Z last month?

I should start by saying that, prior to the A to Z Challenge start, I had been a very sporadic blogger… like, really sporadic this last year or so. I was invited to try the challenge by my blogging friend, Deborah Weber, and I felt a bit like an idiot for signing on because I thought for sure that I wasn’t going to do it. I did one of those half-hearted, “um, OK” kinda moves which normally doesn’t work out very well for me.

To my surprise, I DID do it. I not only did it, but I was not a day late for a single post and I am quite proud of that fact. (Yeah, me!) And to add to a wonderful sense of accomplishment, I also learned a lot of really cool stuff. I learned about octopuses and how they are as good or better at camouflaging than chameleons. I also learned that they are great escape artists. I learned about aspen trees and deep space and national trails. I found out that this year, 2016, is the one hundredth anniversary of the national parks. A great tribute to this study of NATURE.

It was a great month. In the end, I had so much fun that I was almost disappointed that it was over. I especially enjoyed seeing how everyone else handled their own A to Z’s – each blog a unique expression. I met some great bloggers and there were certainly a LOT of us! I am thinking that next year, I want to have them all written out ahead of time so I can enjoy the month and spend more time socializing.

What did you think? Did you participate in the A to Z? Did you catch any of the posts that people wrote if you didn’t? Tell us about it in the comments.

  1. A to Z is definitely an interesting challenge. This was my fourth year doing it. But it’s easier for me as I generally blog five days a week. But everyone has their own comfort level.

  2. This was my second A to Z. The first time I ever blogged for 30 days in a row (back in 2011, for a different challenge) it was so hard. My virtual hat is tipped to you – well done!

  3. Well done indeed Amy. I certainly enjoyed your series of posts, and I’m glad you decided to play along. It’s just the right mix of stretching challenge and fun isn’t it? You get to learn a lot about yourself and your subject and discover all kinds of other wonderfulness in the blogging world.

  4. Congrats on completing the challenge! Happy to see so many had so much fun at the A-Z.

Advance scheduling does allow more time for socialising. Well worth the effort if that’s the goal.

    Best wishes,

  5. This challenge wouldn’t suit my blog, but it was interesting to see some of the others.
