Blog Series Highlight

Tao_Symbol_Rainbow

As part of our challenge this month for the Inspired Blogging Challenge, we are asked to write about a series that we’ve done in the past or that we are currently working on. I’ve been writing on this blog for over four years and I’ve done a lot of series posts!

I started this blog in January of 2012. My first “series” for my blog was my original Tao Te Ching chapters. That took an entire year to complete.  I was proud of myself for completing it on time. Then, the next year I decided to write a commentary for each chapter. That took an entire second year. The following year, I re-posted my original chapters and invited others to post a link to their own version of the Tao Te Ching chapters in a series called Tao Tuesdays.

Since then, and throughout the years I’ve had this blog I’ve done other series too. The one I’m in right now, but has been on hold for a few months, is my I Ching series. There are 64 I Ching hexagrams and I have written a post on about half of them. I really should pick that up again because it’s been a few months now since I’ve done one.

What about you? What series have you done on your blog? Tell us about it in the comments!

  1. I’m so impressed with your series Amy. That’s such a beautiful way for you to work because you bring such thought and depth into subjects that you explore over time. Yay you!

I’ve done a number of series, albeit month-long ones not year-long ones. I’ve done a manifesto abecedarium; one on journeying with tarot’s Fool through my month; one on a miscellany of things that struck my fancy; one on love letters; and one on gratitude. Clearly I love series and love abecedariums. 🙂
