Q is for Quiet

Blog_Alaska1

Today is all about Quiet.

I don’t know about you, but I long for quiet. And yet, still, I fill my spaces with words. Whether these be words flowing loudly through my own head or words that I fill my ears with, listening to books and music to occupy my time.

My husband and I have often talked of doing a silence retreat. I should bring it up with him again. The last time we discussed this was a few years ago, but we could do it any time really. Every other weekend, we are alone together (without my daughter), so there’s no reason we can’t just do that.

Rather than fill my post with yet more words, I will just ask you to consider taking a few minutes today in silence and see what comes up. Enjoy!

  2. What a lovely nurturing idea. Quiet is really important to me and I’ve managed to build a lot into my life. And I feel very blessed about that.
