W is for Water

I took this photo of a waterfall in Maui during our "Road to Hana" day trip.

Today, it’s all about Water.

This one was also taken in Maui. There was such beautiful coastline there.

Water is so soothing to me. Today I am just sharing some photos with you.

Trouble is caused by a strong sense of self. Without a sense of self, what can trouble you?

Sometimes water comes in the form of rain…

These sweet little tiles were from the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Chinese Garden in Vancouver. They are designed to create a beautiful sound when the rain falls. It was so appropriate that it poured buckets that day.

  1. Lovely pictures Amy. And that roof – I want one that makes pretty sounds! I always feel a great affinity to water – I find it so soothing and centering. So I wasn’t all that surprised to find it’s one of my elements in the 9 Star Ki system.

  3. I had thoughts over ‘trouble is caused by a strong sense of self’ I think equally, trouble is caused by strong lack of a sense of self. Often those that I work with have slunk so far back into the background of their own lives I feel that i’m at a cave door, motioning for them to come out and play. Interesting.

  5. Beautiful pictures and I love the quote, “Trouble is caused by a strong sense of self. Without as sense of self, what can trouble you?” The elemental components connect with us on a deep and primal level. I love water, too. And your posts following the alphabet are interesting. I look forward to reading more of them!
